Main ‘take-aways’ from the perspective of the expert |
There is a lively interest in the development of a qualifications framework in Kazakhstan. The university sector, with the support of the ministry, seems committed to reform of their qualifications based on learning outcomes and on quality assurance principles of the European Higher Education Area. There is a certain tension about the extent to which qualification standards should be led from industry sectors as opposed to the disciplinary communities with higher education. The Tempus IV projects displayed in the exhibition accompanying the seminary demonstrated a wide range of innovations which were monitored closely and supported by the national Tempus agency. |
