Objectives of the visit

Joint and Double Degree development and implementation in the Higher Education sector in Kosovo through the networking among programme countries and HEIs in Kosovo

Brief description of activities conducted

Presentation, discussion and working group in order to gain technical and substantial knowledge about Joint and Double Degrees in order to initiate projects on Joint and Double Degrees

The morning session of the first day provided a general overview on important topcis with regard to the development, implementation and running of a joint programme. The participants got an overview about the terminology, different concepts of joint programmes and the legal framework. The afternoon session of day 1 provided necessary background information as well as detailed inside views with regard to the practical implementation of Joint or Double Degree programmes. The focus of this session was put on the development of joint curricula and the preparation of partner agreements as well as the management and organisation of Joint Degree programmes.

The participants were invited to compare the information provided with national and local structures and procedures in order to lead to a critical analysis of the current situation and opportunities for institutions in Kosovo.

The participants were also invited to contribute in-depth discussion and reflection in order to allow for filtering challenges and opportunities.

During day 2 the participants got some insight views into already existing programmes. Hands-on experiences with regard to the development of programmes as well as the daily management of such programmes were presented. The participants had the possibility to see how the theoretic information and knowledge gained during day 1 could be transformed into practice.

Representatives of all public and private HEIs (Rectors, Deans, Professors, Internaitonal Relation Office and administrative staff, students) from Kosovo and its main stakeholders
