Dates:
Tuesday, 27 November, 2018

The establishment of knowledge based society and the advent of the fourth industrial revolution and their connections to the digital era is shaping Lebanese higher education. In addition, the development of new delivery modes which make use of modern technologies and deep transformations of knowledge structures is taking place. Therefore, there is a need to identify the impact on the qualifications in Lebanon.

At the end of the roundtable the participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the impact of the digital era on the qualifications
  • Identify the needs to prepare the students to take a role in modern societies
  • Suggest modifications to qualifications in order to consider the new needs

Alastair Creelman, E-learning specialist, business intelligence, and project leader at the Linnaeus University (Kalmar, Sweden), will moderate the debates and provide an overview of how the latest changes, especially in the digital area, that would impact higher education, qualifications to be offered and modes of delivery.
