Upcoming TAM: European Integration of Ukraine's Higher Education: Conclusions from the Bologna Report 2018 (Ukraine)

The Ukraine has just held a national, annual conference on “European Integration of Ukraine's Higher Education: Conclusions from the Bologna Report 2018”

 

The objectives of the event were:

  • To develop recommendations for the implementation of Bologna tools and approaches to Higher Education development;
  • To know and understand state and prospects of the European integration of Ukraine’s Higher Education;
  • To study the conclusions from the Bologna Report 2018;
  • To discuss how to adapt statistics, surveys, legislation, etc. on national and institutional levels, to monitor Bologan reforms better.

 

The target audience was representatives of universities, NQAA (the national QA agency), the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Ukraine, the NAESU (Ukranian students’ union), the Ukrainian Association of Rectors, the National Academies of Sciences, the HERE team, academic staff, students and associations of employers.

 

Michael Gaebel, Head of the Higher Education Policy Unit at EUA, was invited as an expert to this event. He currently represents EUA in the Bologna Follow-Up Group.

 

The programme covered a number of areas related to Bologna implementation: Learning and Teaching, degrees and qualifications, quality assurance and recognition, opening access to higher education to a diverse student population, internationalization and mobility. Results will soon be published on the HERE website.
