The Kyrgyz Republic has recently been working to develop a national qualification system which will unite and articulate all educational sectors. In the frame of various projects supported by the European Commission and the Asian Development Bank, some elements of this national qualification system have already been developed and approved: a draft of the National Qualifications Framework, sectoral research and drafts of occupational standards.
This seminar, which will take place on 18-18 June, will provide analysis and yield recommendations for improving the plan of action for the national qualification system development in Kyrgyztan. Participants will have the opportunity to obtain information on approaches for formulating descriptors for the National Qualifications Framework for all levels. They will also learn specifically about designing descriptors of occupational standards, one branch of the Framework.
Prof. Dr. Preslav Dimitrov, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the South-West University “Neofit Rilski” and expert at the National Agency for Accreditation and Evaluation to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria will participate in this seminar by giving recommendations and good practices for the development of the national qualification system in Kyrgyzstan.
