Upcoming TAM: Rethinking Lebanese higher education reform agenda: towards strategic needs and priorities

Dates:
Thursday, 9 November, 2017

Lebanese higher education has been expanding largely in the past decade. Several new HEIs have been established to respond to the constantly increasing demand for higher education. A strategic plan has been established more than ten years ago to this effect. The Lebanese HERE’s latest survey and national consultation was also done in 2008. Within this context, the TAM "Rethinking Lebanese higher education reform agenda: towards strategic needs and priorities" will be organized on 9 November 2017.

The main objective of the event is to draw-up a list of recommendations for the development and reform of Lebanese HE. By the end of the event, the participants will be able to:

  • Present the profile of the Lebanese HE sector, identifying its major strengths and weaknesses.
  • Discuss and debate about the strategic recommendations resulting from the event.
  • Promote development and reform in their owntheir own institutions and throughout the system.

Dr. Guy Haug, European expert on higher education policy in an international setting and advisor on institutional and international development at Valencia University of Technology, will moderate the debates and to present the latest developments in higher education in Europe and at the international level.
